Gou Gou datte Neko de Aru

September 7th, after work, my husband and I went to an Indian Restaurant. Tandoori chicken, shishi kebob, two kinds of curry, and Naan put me in a very good mood. After that, we went to the new ice cream shop in Parco Department store. Parco Department store opened two weeks ago in Sendai. Cold Stone Creamery is on the first floor of Parco and has had long lines since its opening. We had an hour to kill before the movie, so we joined the other fifty people in line and waited patiently. We were entertained periodically by the Zippity Doo Daa song sung by the shop employees. My one, small scoop of ice cream was 480 yen (4.50 USD).

After that we headed for the movie. It is a Japanese Movie, グーグーだって猫である (Gou Gou datte Neko de Aru). After the java intro finishes, you can choose the "watch trailer" button at the bottom of the page. The story evolves around Kyoko Koizumi's character, manga artist, Asako. The story is based loosely on a book by Yumiko Oshima. I love cats and loved this movie. I cried almost the entire movie. There is much that paralleled my own life.

We are sisters of the zodiac...my birthday too was yesterday...Happy Birthday Juana.

I love your floral shadow, again the minute shadows they produce are as alluring as the flower, beautiful!

I miss living in Florida, where my yard was filled with orchids and various other tropicals...so exotic.

Oh my gosh! That is an astonishingly beautiful picture!!! It's so beautiful I fogot what I was going to say about the rest of your post...lol. Oh, I know Happy Birthday!! Same day as my husbands. I hope that was some good ice cream! It's crazy the price of things these days...and most of the things you have to wait for and pay so much for end up being so over rated. Your dinner sounded very yummy...I love curry!! I'm glad you enjoyed the movie...even if you cried:)

Married Shadows

My husband and I haven't had a T.V. for the last 15 years, maybe more, so we often go to see movies at the Cinema. The last couple of ones that I've enjoyed have been Transformers II and Terminator IV. Two more of my favorites are Slumdog Millionare and Milk. These latter two were well done movies from all angles (acting, script, cinematography). This is us after an afternoon at the movies and eating out. We had just come from Starbucks and were heading to the train station. For more shadow shots and to learn how to join this Meme, please visit Hey Harriet's blog .
