Monthly Update and Tag

What's new in my GalleryJuana.etsy.com shop?

What's in the works? I am working on some 2009 Pocket Calendar Planners.

I’ve been tagged by rubyblueshop! This is the challenge:

1. Link to your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog - some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blog.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Ok, here we go! 7 random facts about me:

1. I was born with a birthmark on my back which faded by the time I finished Junior High school.

2. I once had a poisonous spider in my tea. I didn't know until it tried to climb up my mouth as I drank my tea.

3. I love watching horror movies, the suspenseful ones not the "splatter" ones. My favorite is "28 Weeks Later."

4. I can't go longer than a week without cheese, even if I am trying to cut calories. I am a cheesaholic.

5. I always make a wish if the clasp on my necklace touches my pendant.

6. Sometimes I snore! Ha! ha! My excuse is I have allergies.

7. I ran my first 10k race (23 years ago) in Hitachi city in Ibaragi Prefecture, Japan. Our names had been published in the newspaper, and I was the only foreigner. People I didn't even know were cheering me on by name. It was a memorable experience.

And here are the links to 7 people that I am tagging:

1. Joy Logan "This Joy of Art"
2. The Mum and The Rose
3. RhondaMum
4. The Summer Kitchen Journal
5. TwinkleStarArt

I enjoyed reading the facts about you. I love your 'make a wish' tradition :) Drinking poisonous spider's not my cup of tea though, sorry very bad joke. I had a huge spider (leg span the size of a dinner plate) crawl over my face. It was a nasty way to wake up in the morning! I was only 10 years old at the time :O We liked in the bush and didn't have screens, so had to live with huge spiders, big bugs and the occasional bat.

Thanks for tagging me on your random 'facts about me' challenge. I still have to do my 'what's on my wall' challenge from a couple of weeks ago, so hopefully I'll get around to it :)

twinkle star, I freak at bats! I enjoyed your corny joke too:)

hey harriet, I was more fascinated with what had happened than scared. On the other hand, snakes and flying insects get me running!
Thanks for tagging us! We've been busy getting our Christmas around for our Open House in 3 weeks - ahhh retail! We will be getting our facts together to play along!!
The spider thing is creepy! We have tea every day - now you will be in our thoughts as we take a sip (looking for a lurking spider first!!)

Blue-eyed Siamese Cat flies to Japan

Today was filled with my art and time with Sputnik. She was bathing herself which gave me the chance to catch a photo of her. I actually adopted Sputnik as a kitten in 1998 when I was living in Mexico. She made the long trip with me to Japan on July 25, 2004. It took me about 6 months to plan the logistics of bringing her from Mexico to Japan. Since I had to fly via the U.S. on Mexicana Airlines and Korean Airlines, that meant 4 countries and two airlines would need to approve her transport. There were many details to keep track of for each country and airline. After 6 months of stressful planning, 16 hours of two airline flights and layovers, She made it to Japan safely! Korean Air allowed her to fly with me as my carry-on luggage, which was a relief for me. No worrying about whether she was scared or left at the Los Angeles airport! I didn't give her any tranquilizer to sedate her. Yet, she was quiet the entire flight and went unnoticed by other passengers. I h
