7-Eleven in Japan

The first 7-Eleven opened in Japan in 1974. I pass this convenience store every Wednesday and Saturday. I rarely eat enough for breakfast, and I'm usually hungry by the time I reach this point, so I usually pick up a salad to keep me going until lunch time. The kanji (chinese characters) on the sign read: Liquour, Tobacco, Bank.

Interesting interplay of shadows.

That is so funny, Juana. It reminds me of seeing John Wayne swagger up to a bar and order his drink in German. Just too funny.

Now who would have thought a nice shadow waiting for you, as well as a salad. That is what I call "two birds with one stone"..
Great shot..Happy SSS..

I like those shadows! I'm now wondering when the first 7-11 opened up over here. I must investigate. I'm sure it wasn't as early as 1974! I don't think my local 7-11 sells anything as healthy as salad :)

Hey Harriet, there are lots of oily snacks to choose from, but I try to pick out the healthy snacks at the convenience store. Sometimes I get a banana or onigiri(rice ball).

Very fun, Juana! Here in Norway the 7-11's don't sell liquor...but most else yes! Happy Days :o)
