Artist's Palette

When I had my solo exhibition last year, I was asked by a visitor what my favorite color was. Great question but difficult to answer since my favorites change according to my mood. Currently these are the colors on my palette: titan buff, cadmium yellow primrose, medium magenta, aqua blue. Subtle shadows under the painting brushes and the dried acyrlic paint mounds.

Yes, my fave colours often change. I'm liking these sweet colours you've chosen for your current piece. I want to see the completed piece now. Perhaps you are still working on it :)

Love the shadows under the brush. Colors are very pretty. It is true, colors change with moods/age. Have to admit, I enjoy change.
Happy SSS.
Come, subtle shadows,
lurking under artist’s brush—
surprise me with joy!

Lovely post ... I would also find it difficult to tell what my favourite colors are.

I so envy those out there who can create with paint and chalk and pencil and other artistic forms. I can barely draw a stick figure. These are all lovely colors and I would have a hard time picking just one.

It has been interesting to read about everyone's favorite colors. And I see that I am not the only one with a changing palette.
I love shade s of blue in acrylics...not sure why excacty, I think it's the wild variety of shades available. I also love what's left on a palette or a testing strip when an artist has finished painting.

Beautiful post, Juana... I love colors, and love creating with different colors. In my home though I thrive with calming spirit of pastels though. I keep the livelier colors for my work--LOL! Happy Days :o)

Lovely shadow shot with these pretty colours. I like the way your picture shows a section of your painting. Beautiful! I have trouble deciding on a favourite too but if I had to it would probably be turquoise.

There's something about water colours that just grab and hold me. Why is that?

I love your subtle colourful shadows.

This is the type of subtle shadow I've tried to recreate digitally in photoshop on numerous occasions. I just can't master it to look like your authentic shadow.

Married Shadows

My husband and I haven't had a T.V. for the last 15 years, maybe more, so we often go to see movies at the Cinema. The last couple of ones that I've enjoyed have been Transformers II and Terminator IV. Two more of my favorites are Slumdog Millionare and Milk. These latter two were well done movies from all angles (acting, script, cinematography). This is us after an afternoon at the movies and eating out. We had just come from Starbucks and were heading to the train station. For more shadow shots and to learn how to join this Meme, please visit Hey Harriet's blog .
