Six Sounds that make me Happy

Thank you LemonShortbread for this Happy Things tag! The rules are to name the tagger and name 6 unimportant things that make me happy and then tag 6 bloggers! However, I am inviting anyone who is interested to join by posting 6 things that make them happy either in the comments to this post, on your blog or both. If it's on your blog, let me know and I will post your link below.
Six Sounds that make me happy
1. My cat drinking water.
2. I love the crunching sounds as she eats out of her dish by our bedside.
3. The thwat, thwat sounds of her paws as they walk across the tatami mat.
4. The sound of the chimes my Mother gave me years ago.
5. Popcorn kernals as they hit the stainless steel pan.
6. The sound of the sumi ink stick against the stone as I grind it into a liquidy paste.

I like the sound of your cat. I love cats and never let a day go by without giving them a stroke and a cuddle. The sounds they make are very special.

Absolutely beautiful images created were created in my mind by these six 'sounds'. I, too, love to hear the lap-lap of my dog drinking water, in the stillness of the night, and the soft tippy-tippy of little paws across the wood. Pet love!

Blue-eyed Siamese Cat flies to Japan

Today was filled with my art and time with Sputnik. She was bathing herself which gave me the chance to catch a photo of her. I actually adopted Sputnik as a kitten in 1998 when I was living in Mexico. She made the long trip with me to Japan on July 25, 2004. It took me about 6 months to plan the logistics of bringing her from Mexico to Japan. Since I had to fly via the U.S. on Mexicana Airlines and Korean Airlines, that meant 4 countries and two airlines would need to approve her transport. There were many details to keep track of for each country and airline. After 6 months of stressful planning, 16 hours of two airline flights and layovers, She made it to Japan safely! Korean Air allowed her to fly with me as my carry-on luggage, which was a relief for me. No worrying about whether she was scared or left at the Los Angeles airport! I didn't give her any tranquilizer to sedate her. Yet, she was quiet the entire flight and went unnoticed by other passengers. I h
