Japanese Paper Lanterns

I caught these photos of some beautiful paper lanterns in Sendai on my evening walk last month. Both lamps are advertising food and liquor. Their shadows, shapes and colors really give the shops that Japanese feeling.

I'm glad to see that these lanterns are still being used. They're so friendly looking!

I love paper lanterns! We don't see them around here too often, mainly they only come out for special celebrations like Chinese New Year.

Even though your SSS was late last week I included your gorgeous kitty in one of the collages on Sunday. Not sure if you noticed. It was such an adorable photo of Sputnik that I just had to include it :)

Married Shadows

My husband and I haven't had a T.V. for the last 15 years, maybe more, so we often go to see movies at the Cinema. The last couple of ones that I've enjoyed have been Transformers II and Terminator IV. Two more of my favorites are Slumdog Millionare and Milk. These latter two were well done movies from all angles (acting, script, cinematography). This is us after an afternoon at the movies and eating out. We had just come from Starbucks and were heading to the train station. For more shadow shots and to learn how to join this Meme, please visit Hey Harriet's blog .
