Water Drops and Shadows

We had days on end of rain last week. I sure appreciated that sun when it came out again.

I took this photo of the faucet that is on the upstairs uncovered patio. I let the water drip a bit and tried to catch a drop in the photo. I need to experiment more with my camera settings to get a better pic, so you might see this theme again.

tap and drop

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

It is Sunday in Australia which brings us to Shadow Shot Sunday hosted by the wonderful HeyHarriet.blogspot.com.

The smallish faucet looks gigantic with this massive shadow. The subject, although not visible, is what the shadow says it is. Excellent picture, the white wa a perfect canvas for this!

without the drip, you did get a great shadow.
I guess you would have to be mighty fast to catch a drip. At least I would think so..Anyway, good job. Happy SSS

Have a great week ahead. Maybe the sunshine will outweigh the rainy days this coming week :)

It is raining here in the southern states. We are not seeing the sun at all.
Take care,

Transparent water drops are very appealing things to paint. With a bit of practice and careful planning you'll find they're not as impossible to paint as you might have thought.
