House Ants Shadows and Video

Ants amaze me.  According to Wikipedia, colonies formed by ants are sometimes described as superorganisms because they seem to function as one entity, working together to support the colony.

My husband loves apples.  Evidently, he'd left an apple crumb behind and the ants found it.  I caught this photo and  time-lapse of them carrying it from his desk up to the hole in the ceiling (five feet in distance).  The music is by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole.

Awesome shot and video! It's amazing how ants can move something bigger than them all that distance. Have a great day!

I love the photo and really enjoyed your short film! Ants are certainly amazing and determined little critters. The way they all work together in harmony to achieve goals is something that we humans could learn a lot from I think :)

I hope you are having a wonderful Easter long weekend!

I cannot stand ants. I can actually smell them when they are is kind of a sweet scent. However, this little film is pretty darn neat.:)
