My World

We took a walk in the old part of town. This statue by Varaz Samuelian has fascinated me since I was a kid.  The copper "David of Sassoon" sculpture weighs two and a half tons.

What a great statue -there seems to be so much expression in both the horse and rider's faces.

That's a startling statue, Juana! It's good to see part of your world!

Ahha ... maybe it has something to do with the lovely lines that the sculptor has been able to bring out in his horse and rider. They seem to resonate with your own work which I see in the side-bar. Not sure where that massive sword fits in though. Bit of a worry!

That's a very powerful and dramatic sculpture.

It brings a sense of another time and place to that calm, blue sky. I can see where it would capture a chid's imagination too, like a storybook illustration. Great My World choice!
