Siamese Cat Shadows

sputnik in the sun cleaning her paw

Dove into some old digital files for today's Shadow Shot Sunday.  This one is from December 2008.  I'd shown a previous one from the same time in which Sputnik was yawning and looking fierce.  The above shot is before the yawn, so she's looking sweet and content.

I hope everyone is having good weather and a good weekend.  Drop by Hey Harriet's blog to join this shadow shot meme and view photos from around the world.

What a sweet shadow shot it is! I love it! Nothing like a bath in the warm sunshine -- well, at least for our kitty friends! Have a beautiful weekend!

Cats seem to be really content when they lick and wash their faces, say after a fine meal of whatever cats like (I don't touch the stuff...). So satisfaction is in play here, and Sputnik looks so elegant doing it...

Siamese sure have their own special personalities...And very sublime shadows!

It is gently raining outside here in farrr N.Idaho. To me, this is very good weather. Dogs cuddling on the bed with me. Pleasant sound of tinkling on the tin roof.
He's terrific goodie pet. He knows what U like, I guess? Poses for you for that perfect SS.

Hope you still have sunny days & Have a gorgeous SS...

Sweet Sputnik looks to be in a very playful mood there! I remember that scary yawn shot! Gave me nightmares for weeks that one did ;)

I hope your weekend so far is going well and that your weather is nicer than the gloomy weather I'm experiencing right now!

We do so love our critters don't we and never tire of taking photos of them. I frequently refresh my memory of Scratchy's puppy days...what a terrorist she was...and still is! Ha!

Have great week!

I wonder if she thinks about her shadow or even notices it?

Cassie, looks like you have rain but in a good way. I agree it can be soothing at times.

Meri, sputnik does notice her shadow and reflection at times.

Barbara, I'd love to have 6 cats.

Sweet repose, you're right, we definitely never tire of photographing our pets.

Lisa, Joan, Magical, Arija, Linea, EgWow, Marlene, Swefil, Sylvia, and Chubskulit, thanks for stopping by.

Ralph, like you, I don't eat the cat food either, but they sure make it seem like it was delicious.

Wanderlust, yes, I was happy how it came out in B & W.

HeyHarriet, glad this shot is not going to give you nightmares:)

Blue-eyed Siamese Cat flies to Japan

Today was filled with my art and time with Sputnik. She was bathing herself which gave me the chance to catch a photo of her. I actually adopted Sputnik as a kitten in 1998 when I was living in Mexico. She made the long trip with me to Japan on July 25, 2004. It took me about 6 months to plan the logistics of bringing her from Mexico to Japan. Since I had to fly via the U.S. on Mexicana Airlines and Korean Airlines, that meant 4 countries and two airlines would need to approve her transport. There were many details to keep track of for each country and airline. After 6 months of stressful planning, 16 hours of two airline flights and layovers, She made it to Japan safely! Korean Air allowed her to fly with me as my carry-on luggage, which was a relief for me. No worrying about whether she was scared or left at the Los Angeles airport! I didn't give her any tranquilizer to sedate her. Yet, she was quiet the entire flight and went unnoticed by other passengers. I h
