Rain and Shadows

It rained through the night and I woke up to sunshine and a beautiful morning.  The grape leaves have already changed color and pruning will come next.  The neighbor's house gave me some shadow smiles this morning.  And the fence waved its hellos through the steam.

Beautiful. That fog or steam really adds to the ethereal quality of the photo.

Wow. what a capture with the steam. It is making me remember when I lived in a rather unattractive neighborhood when my aesthetic fix was filled by the morning steam coming off the redwood panels in the fence up the road.

Thanks for the memory and thanks for visiting.

It looks as if the morning fog is lifting, which portends a beautiful day...

What a lovely image! I'm wondering where the steam is coming from? Do have the kettle on? Are you making tea? A LOT of tea by the looks of things. I'll join you for a cup. I'll bring some cookies :)

Have a super week ahead!

I love it when the heat of the early morning sun lifts the steam off the fence, it means the day will be perfect...well they all are really, we just have to learn to recognize the beauty...ask me again when the snow is knee deep...HA!

Thank you for your visits and lovely comments. I never knew that lifting of fog or steam off the fence had any meaning. But of course it would!
What a bright, shiny start for the morning! Hope the rest of the day fulfilled the promise. Lovely shot!

Married Shadows

My husband and I haven't had a T.V. for the last 15 years, maybe more, so we often go to see movies at the Cinema. The last couple of ones that I've enjoyed have been Transformers II and Terminator IV. Two more of my favorites are Slumdog Millionare and Milk. These latter two were well done movies from all angles (acting, script, cinematography). This is us after an afternoon at the movies and eating out. We had just come from Starbucks and were heading to the train station. For more shadow shots and to learn how to join this Meme, please visit Hey Harriet's blog .
