A very cool shadow! This can be a number of things, but I see a shadowy mesh. A bag to carry the fruit? Perhaps the membranes of said fruit. I cannot be sure of that, but the shadow I see is great!

Hi Ralph,
Thank you and the husk surrounds the tomatillo. This was the end of the crop, so I think the fruit never grew enough to be picked.

Sylvia, thank you:)

so beautiful and delicate. It looks like a Christmas decoration. I would spray it or dip it in something and hang the little beauty in the window!

great shadow too!

zendotstudio, preserving it is an excellent idea. It's less than an inch high (2 cm) so I've got it sitting on my desk.
We LOVE it! It is fantastic - but would never make it on our desk - ha!!

What an unusual, yet lovely photo! Who would have thought that a tomatillo husk could be such a thing of beauty!

And yes the weather here in Australia has been crazy lately. This week lots of power outages due to severe storms. The longest one being for 24hours. Fun and games! Although I'm one of the lucky ones to have only lost power. Many people have experienced much worse. I hope you and your husband have a lovely Christmas! Give Sputnik a big Christmas hug from me :)

Married Shadows

My husband and I haven't had a T.V. for the last 15 years, maybe more, so we often go to see movies at the Cinema. The last couple of ones that I've enjoyed have been Transformers II and Terminator IV. Two more of my favorites are Slumdog Millionare and Milk. These latter two were well done movies from all angles (acting, script, cinematography). This is us after an afternoon at the movies and eating out. We had just come from Starbucks and were heading to the train station. For more shadow shots and to learn how to join this Meme, please visit Hey Harriet's blog .
