Early Spring Shadows

daffodil
Early February, 2011

These daffodils always bring sunshine to my spirit when they bloom. They haven't all bloomed yet. Only one bunch. They are a radiant bunch when they're all in full bloom.

The sun was setting when I took this photo, so tiny shadows dance among the petals.  For more shadow shots from other bloggers,  visit heyharriet's blog.

The depth and texture of this beautiful flower are really enhanced by the shadow. We await Spring up here, and the sight and aroma of fresh flora are for us to enjoy. Thanks for the warm thought in the frame!

your photos are remarkable. I was going rattle off a list of the reasons why I think that, but it's not needed. your images simply speak for themselves. I only wish I could get a few of those background colors on my walls. happy SSS!

Thank you for your lovely comments. I'm hoping to get out on my bicycle tomorrow and enjoy this spring-like weather.
Daffodils are a sure sign of spring!

A SEEKER OF SHADOWS

A seeker of shadows one day
Asked shadows to come out and play:
“O shadows, my dears,
Despite all my fears,
I hope you will not run away.”

Married Shadows

My husband and I haven't had a T.V. for the last 15 years, maybe more, so we often go to see movies at the Cinema. The last couple of ones that I've enjoyed have been Transformers II and Terminator IV. Two more of my favorites are Slumdog Millionare and Milk. These latter two were well done movies from all angles (acting, script, cinematography). This is us after an afternoon at the movies and eating out. We had just come from Starbucks and were heading to the train station. For more shadow shots and to learn how to join this Meme, please visit Hey Harriet's blog .
