Wadsworth Cat, Sunday Sketches

Saturdays are the hardest day for me to get my daily drawing in.  I am often under the bed covers when I've remembered I need to do my 365 days of art contribution.  Last night was the same as every Saturday:  I had forgotten.   My cat, Sputnik, had settled herself on me, so I didn't want to get up.   I borrowed the ball point pen my husband had in his hand and grabbed the book at my bedside and set to drawing Sputnik.

Very cute Juana!

I often see that perspective but never thought to draw it!

So neat on the book page!

Very cool! Love the whole concept, that's what a sketch is all about- that first thought and the freeness to just draw! love it!

Lovely little spontaneous sketch. I love that you found a way to do it, and did it with what was at hand.

Gave me a smile, I hate to move when Daisy is cuddled up with me so I know how you feel. Great sketch and love the perspective.

Love the spontenaity of this piece. I can so relate to realizing I did not do something, and needing to get back up. Our buddies just hate when we disturb the nightly process!

Thank you for all your lovely comments.
I got lucky this time with having the materials within reach.

It's fun to see their are others too who hate to move when their furry loved one is cuddled up next to them.

this is so wonderful for it's honesty and kudos to you for capturing and memorializing the moment. And, what bravery to sketch with ballpoint. Great post.

Tracy and Heather, thank you.

Jennifer,
Before the pen touched the paper, I did have that thought "I won't be able to erase."
Sweet sketch. I always enjoy your perspective of art! Hugs! :)

Married Shadows

My husband and I haven't had a T.V. for the last 15 years, maybe more, so we often go to see movies at the Cinema. The last couple of ones that I've enjoyed have been Transformers II and Terminator IV. Two more of my favorites are Slumdog Millionare and Milk. These latter two were well done movies from all angles (acting, script, cinematography). This is us after an afternoon at the movies and eating out. We had just come from Starbucks and were heading to the train station. For more shadow shots and to learn how to join this Meme, please visit Hey Harriet's blog .
