orange bud and shadows

Even though the fruit trees and vegetable garden have been in the back yard since I was a child, I never really took notice of them.  Being back home after being away for so long and without a garden, I find I'm noticing the life cycle of plants.

flower stem and orange

The orange blossoms have all fallen off and the small oranges are green and promising.    Ok ... now I get it!  Those little flowers become the fruit and vegetables.

This small bud will be a giant leaf, and soon! The macro details of nature seem to appear more to me as I age. The natural cycle is so intriguing!

Mother Nature in action... it is amazing! Been a long time since seeing/smelling an orange blossom for real. Not much citrus grows up here in the Far North, you know... ;o) Happy Weekend, Juana ((HUGS))

Can't wait for it to end up in my glass with the fresh, wonderful tang of it's juice! Well done in capturing nature your photo is.

Married Shadows

My husband and I haven't had a T.V. for the last 15 years, maybe more, so we often go to see movies at the Cinema. The last couple of ones that I've enjoyed have been Transformers II and Terminator IV. Two more of my favorites are Slumdog Millionare and Milk. These latter two were well done movies from all angles (acting, script, cinematography). This is us after an afternoon at the movies and eating out. We had just come from Starbucks and were heading to the train station. For more shadow shots and to learn how to join this Meme, please visit Hey Harriet's blog .
