Mukilteo - Clinton Ferry, Whidbey Island

Driving off the Ferry and onto the Island

When my husband and I embarked on this transition, we decided we'd move forward in a general direction. That direction was to drive North from California as far as Washington. After deciding what to keep and what to give away, we crammed our remaining possessions into our car. On the third day, we arrived in Seattle and by the third day, we secured this rental on Whidbey Island.

Above is the photo I took as we drove off the ferry onto the island (I was the passenger in the front seat).

If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.     Martin Luther King Jr.

GREAT image, Juana... I like how this seems like a doorway to your new life, new chapter. Keep moving, my friend :o) ((HUGS))

What a journey...To just pack and move..I love the quote also..
To give up all those things that really mean nothing must be very peaceful.

Tracy, I liked that about it too.

Yesterdays, It'll be warmer for you when you go South.

Katelen, I understand the "less is more" idea with every move:)

Married Shadows

My husband and I haven't had a T.V. for the last 15 years, maybe more, so we often go to see movies at the Cinema. The last couple of ones that I've enjoyed have been Transformers II and Terminator IV. Two more of my favorites are Slumdog Millionare and Milk. These latter two were well done movies from all angles (acting, script, cinematography). This is us after an afternoon at the movies and eating out. We had just come from Starbucks and were heading to the train station. For more shadow shots and to learn how to join this Meme, please visit Hey Harriet's blog .
