what's in bloom

I will be the gladdest thing under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers and not pick one.

Daisies come up here and there. I didn't plant these. They are in the neighbor's yard (which is actually a vacant house), and I get to enjoy the daisies from my patio.

The deer come through almost daily. I was sitting out on the patio when she came into the neighbor's yard. I was trying to focus my camera and she heard the zoom lens. I took the shot before she wandered off. The lens focused on the bushes rather than the deer, but I love that look of hers.

This year I thought I'd try my hand at growing cherry tomatoes. As we are renting, it's a potted garden. I planted these from seeds and they have been growing beautifully.

The deer lopped off the first bloom of flowers. I need to buy some chicken wire to keep these recent blooms going.

Oh, such dreamy summery loveliness... And what a treat to see the deer! I'm reminded I've not visited here in a while--been are your art place mostly ;o) ((HUGS))

Your potted tomatoes look very promising! And I like the surprised look on the deers face...Enjoy your garden and the summer!

fab photos for sketching
Always so happy to read a note from you..I know, I am lousy at visiting.
I refuse to let my blog retire..it is something that is a part of me.
Your tomatoes are doing good..Our oldest daughter planted bucket tomatoes/corn/cukes for me..because I am not a gardener. George was the gardener, I did the freezing/canning..it was the best of two worlds. Anyway, I am trying my best to keep these plants alive..since my nickname was.."black thumb"...so far I am doing good..
Thank you for visiting me..you may not always hear from me, but you are always in my thoughts..

Married Shadows

My husband and I haven't had a T.V. for the last 15 years, maybe more, so we often go to see movies at the Cinema. The last couple of ones that I've enjoyed have been Transformers II and Terminator IV. Two more of my favorites are Slumdog Millionare and Milk. These latter two were well done movies from all angles (acting, script, cinematography). This is us after an afternoon at the movies and eating out. We had just come from Starbucks and were heading to the train station. For more shadow shots and to learn how to join this Meme, please visit Hey Harriet's blog .
