Some Firsts

I have heard from others on the Etsy forums that they love their moo cards. I needed business cards and a painless and economical way to order them. I could have ordered business cards here in Japan, but it would have cost more and been trickier to get full color cards of my art. So, I finally decided to order Moo cards. The cost for 100 small cards plus international shipping only comes out to $26, cheaper than a full color card in Japan. Granted they are smaller than a business card, but the weight and color quality of these small cards makes a strong impression. Another point that sold me is I could use as many images as I wanted for the 100 moo cards. In my order, they included a Moo Cards 15% discount code to pass on to first time buyers: 2RB2Ck

Today is my first day of my quasi-vacation. I teach ESL part-time at two companies. One is a private English conversation school and the other is a Language Vocational College. The College started their summer vacation yesterday. This means I have practically five days off a week. I say practically because I still have to work from 6 p.m. to 9 on Thursdays /Fridays plus 12-6 on weekends at the conversation school. Having only one part time job opens up more time for myself. The extra free time really makes a difference on how much art I can get done and it also allows time for the much neglected housework.

Your cards look wonderful. I love my Moo cards. I try to order a new set every season and pull one of each design (only those I can duplicate)to create tiny portfolios for potential wholesale/consigners. It is an impressive look and very easy to carry around.

Chris, I think it's great how the customer can use as many images as they want! Let us know if you get any. The small size doesn't meet everyone's needs. And it seems the shipping to Japan is cheaper than it is to the U.S.
Hope you're having a great time!

The Moo cards look lovely. I will have to check them out. Little art pieces from you...what gems!

Beautiful work displayed on your moo cards! I love painting in the Sumi-e style, it's so calming. I haven't done it in a while so I'm happy I visited and received a bit of inspiration. I love the image in the bottom card.

Blue-eyed Siamese Cat flies to Japan

Today was filled with my art and time with Sputnik. She was bathing herself which gave me the chance to catch a photo of her. I actually adopted Sputnik as a kitten in 1998 when I was living in Mexico. She made the long trip with me to Japan on July 25, 2004. It took me about 6 months to plan the logistics of bringing her from Mexico to Japan. Since I had to fly via the U.S. on Mexicana Airlines and Korean Airlines, that meant 4 countries and two airlines would need to approve her transport. There were many details to keep track of for each country and airline. After 6 months of stressful planning, 16 hours of two airline flights and layovers, She made it to Japan safely! Korean Air allowed her to fly with me as my carry-on luggage, which was a relief for me. No worrying about whether she was scared or left at the Los Angeles airport! I didn't give her any tranquilizer to sedate her. Yet, she was quiet the entire flight and went unnoticed by other passengers. I h
