hiking in the rain

green leaves in the rain
green leaves in the rain
Today we went hiking at Meerkerk Rhododendron Gardens here on Whidbey Island.
It was pouring rain, so we had the acres of garden and forest all to ourselves!

The rain made calming sounds and all the plants were glistening and dewy.

Green for Snap it.

The green really jumps off the page. One of the many things I love about the rain is not only the sound but that it keeps other people away. I'm sure you enjoyed your hike immensely.

And yes I agree! That could most defintely be an olympic sport!!

I am SO happy that I finally got a camera worth using!!! Yah, it's nothing like those $600 dollar ones but I gotta start small and get more experience before I make such a big purchase!!

The teething biscuits were the BOMB actually!!! Try it!

Married Shadows

My husband and I haven't had a T.V. for the last 15 years, maybe more, so we often go to see movies at the Cinema. The last couple of ones that I've enjoyed have been Transformers II and Terminator IV. Two more of my favorites are Slumdog Millionare and Milk. These latter two were well done movies from all angles (acting, script, cinematography). This is us after an afternoon at the movies and eating out. We had just come from Starbucks and were heading to the train station. For more shadow shots and to learn how to join this Meme, please visit Hey Harriet's blog .
