roads I travel

Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home.
~ Matsuo Basho

Yesterday, the weather forecasted snow beginning early in the morning. As soon as I woke up, I jumped out of bed to look out the window. No snow and it was dry and sunny most of the day. Although, I'm looking forward to the first snow, I was glad for the sunshine:)

We missed our long hike over the weekend because of heavy rain, so I was glad to get our short hike in yesterday. The air is starting to bite now. How I've missed that feeling!

My husband is barely visible in the second photo as he was further up the trail patiently waiting for me as I took this selfie.

I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown,
for going out, I found, was really going in. ~ John Muir

I love your second quote!! I've just thought today that I need to get out more again, and not make any lame excuses. I used to do it a lot, but life has gotten busy this past year..

Married Shadows

My husband and I haven't had a T.V. for the last 15 years, maybe more, so we often go to see movies at the Cinema. The last couple of ones that I've enjoyed have been Transformers II and Terminator IV. Two more of my favorites are Slumdog Millionare and Milk. These latter two were well done movies from all angles (acting, script, cinematography). This is us after an afternoon at the movies and eating out. We had just come from Starbucks and were heading to the train station. For more shadow shots and to learn how to join this Meme, please visit Hey Harriet's blog .
