Tulips on my work table

On my daily walks into town, I've been noticing the green stalks peaking out of the soil in gardens I pass along the way. The crocuses are already blooming in the garden at the post office. Some days feel warmer than others hinting that Spring is on her way.

I decided to bring in some of that fresh feeling and bought these white tulips. What amazes me is the impact this simple addition of flowers has had on my morning! Why do flowers on my desk make my heart lighter?

Perhaps it's the reminder that Spring is coming? It's always this time of year that I start buying cut flowers. Tulips are first, then lilacs and then daffodils. The hummingbirds are already coming to my mini-garden outside, so I will be getting some potted flowers too.

What's warming your heart this week?

Hola, Juana ~~ Your white tulips are such a pretty walk find. Heart warmers, indeed.
I also peeked in on your walk journal art posts. Such a great idea. For you, I'm not artistic at all, only stick man art, that's my level of incompetence. But I always do carry my camera when walking, driving too.
I read about the neutering project on your island. It made me think of our walks when we visited Key West. Got up close with some of Hemmingway's many cats. I don't know for sure, but I think Key West's chicken population outnumbers the cat's. Plus, their chickens are a protected species, being classified as protected fowls.

I wish I could bring home tulips, but my cats would eat them and get sick! I bet it's time for me to put out my hummingbird feeder again! Thanks for the reminder.

Sooo VERY LOVELY! I adore tulips...these white ones are so elegant! No green shoots happening here yet--still a little too early. ;) But it warms my heart that technically spring is about a month away... LOL! ((HUGS))

Such beautiful tulips!

I always try to find fresh flowers for the house, whether it be a few from the garden or a small bunch from the grocery store.

I hope you continue to treat yourself as you are able.

Flowers make the heart smile for certain.

Thank you for linking to week 14.
