Cat's Eyes

After spending the morning at my desk with Sputnik on my lap (as always), I decided to get up and photograph my latest paintings. As I was trying to photograph my art, Sputnik was standing on her perch urging me to sit back down. How could I resist these eyes? To see more Pet Photos, please visit the Pet Pride blog .

Hirose River in Sendai, Japan

One night in July, I had stayed awake working on my Art. When I had finished, I realized the sun was starting to rise. I couldn't believe it was 4:30 in the morning. After days of rain, I didn't want to miss the chance of enjoying the sun, so I set off on a long walk. I didn't have the energy to climb a zillion steps to get to a Shrine, so I set off toward the river walking trail. By the time I got out to the river, it was closer to 6AM. It amazed me how many people were awake and taking their morning walks. This man and older woman, perhaps his Mother or Grandmother, were across the river. I had to use the zoom lens on my camera to get a view of them. To see more photos with shadows, visit Hey Harriet's blog .
