Mi Café

library books and coffee The sun called me out again today. Readied with library books, I visited a local cafe and ordered my favorite apple turnover and cappuccino and found the perfect sun-centered table. joining 52 photos Just a quick note: my art blog has moved to http://GalleryJuana.com .

Autumn Musings

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns. George Eliot Autumn has a way of slowing time for me. Out on my bicycle today, the air definitely had a sharper bite. Looking down at the fields as I rode by, I noticed frost. The longer I rode, the warmer I got and soon the air was not biting but coaxing me to stay out and enjoy the sunny, Autumn day. I came back ready to continue working on my art. I feel fortunate that I can do art full-time and grateful to my Husband's hard work that makes it possible. For the photo above, I took the plexiglass that I use for my monoprinting and linocut printing. I put that in front of my camera lense. The plexiglass has scratches and acrylic paint residue which came through in the photo. Also, the sun just happened to be breaking through the trees as the self-timer went off. joining 52 photos project Just a quick note: my art blog has moved
